Dear Nurses,
SunWrap will be the addition every dialysis center and clinic will be looking to implement within their processes. It is efficient, intuitive, and intended for non-disposable single patient use The wrap is specifically designed to promote a better overall post dialysis treatment experience for both the patient and administrator.
How frustrating is it when swelling, in the arm of the patient, has not yet gone down enough to administer a new round of dialysis, therefore, prolonging the process and piling up on future appointments? Hematoma can be the cause of this swelling and we recommend that patients are sent home with a SunWrap to provide prolonged compression for a series of hours at a time. This will speed up the recovery time delivering an arm that is ready for the next session.
Sincerely, SunWrap Team
Patent Hemostasis
SunWrap DOES NOT hinder the blood flow in the fistula. It provides just the right amount of pressure to address swelling but not affect the flow of blood.
Using the Gauge on the Hand Pump you can start at 20-30 mmHg and increase to a maximum of 40-50 mmHg as needed.
Excess Bleeding
Can occur from recurring treatments, thin skin or other difficulties. This will prolongue the healing time.
Pseudoaneurysm
Vessel bulging happens if blood escapes on one-side of the vessel wall and forms a sac.
Hematoma
Constant needle insertion can lead to swelling and discoloration which negatively impacts the ease of treatments.
Aid in relieving these complexities…
SunWrap is a tool that has been designed to allow you to monitor bleeding post treatment. It’s see-through component is positioned on top of the needle site which allows for this reliable and convenient method of properly addressing excess bleeding.
SunWrap is a time saver!
This is very important when trying to clear up chairs in time for the next patient. With SunWrap you can manage this task by providing a faster and more efficient way of healing the needle site wound.
With quicker rebounds it will be easier to transition from one patient to the next.
Testing
SunWrap has been scientifically tested to reflect accurate pressures on the fistula with measured inflation, as opposed to what is currently on the market.
